“Hitler’s Germany, p.37”
Crystal Night: When a Jew killed a Nazi in Paris, Hitler was furious and ordered an attack on the Jews in Germany. Jewish shops were destroyed, Synagogues were burnt down, Jewish homes were destroyed, and many Jews were arrested. This attack became known as “Crystal Night”, because of all the broken shop windows.
You can read more on “Crystal Night” on p.47, under the heading “Organised violence against Jews”. (Take note: the date in this paragraph should be 1938 and not 1958.)
